What distinguishes Clemens from other online trading platforms?

Clemens is a platform known in English as curated marketplace. Unlike other popular auction sites, Clemens cooperates only with selected Sellers who meet our quality standards and guarantee the proper conduct of the sales transaction. Each sales offer is verified by a Clemens employee or an appropriate external expert. Thanks to this, the goods available on the Clemens platform meet quality criteria, and we can also provide users with a high level of security of transactions. Clemens offers innovative sales methods, such as online Dutch auctions, private sales, and price negotiation. All this definitely distinguishes us from other e-commerce trading platforms in Poland.

Why Clemens and not e.g. a popular auction site or your own website?

Clemens saves you time and money. Your company's offer will not have to compete with hundreds of thousands of other offers, as is the case on popular auction or advertising websites. In turn, creating a good, modern and effective website is expensive, time-consuming and, contrary to appearances, not an easy thing. Positioning, promotion and advertising of this website on the Internet is expensive and most often does not translate into an increase in sales. We give you access to an e-commerce tool, appropriately optimized to your needs. At the same time, we ensure effective promotion of the offer. Moreover, and equally important, the publication of sales offers is free of charge, and we collect a small commission only on the goods sold, according to the principle "you don't sell, you don't pay".

How to sell on Clemens?

First of all, read the content of the page describing Participation criteria for Sellers and then complete Registration form for Sellers and send it to us. After receiving your application, we will contact you within a few business days.

Registering and maintaining a merchant account is free. Publication of sales offers is also free of charge. The only cost for the Seller is a small commission on the sales transaction, which is independent of the category in which the item is sold. Detailed information about Dutch auctions can be found at Dutch auctions.

Why are Dutch auctions appropriate in Clemens?

Information on the advantages and disadvantages of Dutch auctions can be found at Dutch auctions.

Are Dutch auctions safe?

Dutch online auctions are completely safe. In the auction system used in Clemens, there is security in the form of a minimum price. Even though the price is automatically reduced during the Dutch auction, the Seller does not risk selling the item for an amount that is disproportionate to its value, because he always sets the minimum price, i.e. the lowest price at which he agrees to sell the item. Moreover, Dutch online auctions are resistant to unfair auction practices that may be used in the case of traditional online auctions.

More information on this topic can be found at Dutch auctions.

Which mode of conducting a Dutch auction brings higher income to Sellers - with an open or hidden minimum price?

It is difficult to answer this question clearly. In the case of an auction with a hidden minimum price and a hidden auction end time, bidders remain under the pressure of competition and the awareness that the auction may end at any time. However, it may be easier for bidders to miss the end of such an auction. In an auction with a public reserve price and a public auction end time, there is only competitive pressure, but it is more difficult for bidders to miss the end of such an auction.

What is the discount?

Fixed price sales offers that have not been sold after 30 days from posting may be discounted by the Seller. The seller provides a new, lower price for the item or enters the discount value as a percentage. Such an offer is displayed on the website with information about the discount and the discount amount, rounded to the nearest whole percentage.

What does the "Super Seller" status mean?

This is a Seller who has two additional rights (privileges). The Super Seller has the ability to publish their own offers on the website without waiting for the Moderator's approval. In addition, the Super Seller receives funds for the paid transaction immediately after confirming that the goods covered by the transaction are available for sale and shipping or personal collection by the Buyer.

Detailed information on how to obtain the Super Seller status can be found in theRegulations.

How is payment made for sold goods?

Payment for sold goods is made on the Clemens website. Buyers pay for purchased goods using the so-called online payments. Payments are handled by a specialized company that processes secure online payments. In this way, we protect Sellers against the risk of not receiving funds from Buyers. The funds for the goods sold are transferred to the Seller's bank account, minus the Clemens commission.

Detailed information on this subject can be found in theRegulations.
