Description:

Landscape from 1927 This is a rare example of the artist's pre-war work because most of his works were destroyed during the Warsaw Uprising.

Biography:

Wawrzyniec Chorembalski (Zawichost 1888 - Warsaw 1965) - landscape painter. From 1911 he studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts in the studio of S. Lentz and W. Trojanowski, and then in Paris. He was a member of TZSP and in the years 1919-1939 he constantly showed his works at current exhibitions at Zachęta; in 1922 he also had a solo exhibition there. Additionally, he presented his canvases with the band group (1927-320) at the C. Garliński Art Salon, and after 1945 at the ZPAP District Exhibitions in Warsaw.
