Description:

Martin Franz Glüsing, using the pseudonym Fräncis-Glüsing, was a German marine painter active in Hamburg (in the fishing district of Finkelwerder). Initially he was a sailor. He studied in Hamburg. He also painted seascapes from Scandinavia. He traveled to Scandinavia many times, mainly to Denmark. He painted ships, ships, sailing ships and genre scenes from the life of sailors and fishermen.
