The works of this artist are rare on the antique market.

Biography:
Stanisław Bender (1882 -1975). A Polish painter of Jewish origin, born in Łódź, died in Germany. Forgotten in Poland. He painted mainly landscapes and scenes from Jewish life. From 1919 he lived in Munich. In 1930 he escaped to France (Paris). He survived the period of World War II in Lourdes, France, together with his daughter Marylka. After the war, as a vote of gratitude for salvation, he painted a beautiful altar entitled "The Ecstasy of St. Bernadette" in one of the chapels of the church in Lourdes.
